PUNCH FIGHT

FADE UP ON A SMALL, MID-AMERICAN CITY-- It's the end of autumn, and a few brown leaves still hang from the reaching branches of main street's famous oaks.

Pan down to our hero, Lisa Crowley-- she's a bookish, lonely orphan who attends classes like a regular person but goes to sleep each night in an orphanage. She's holding her book across her chest and trying not to draw the attention of a circle of young amateur boxer types, who are standing outside the the local drug store smoking cigars and freestyle rapping about their favorite boxers.

In the middle of a rap about Max Schmeling's jabs, one of the youths, POCO, notices Lisa and stops everyone else from beatboxing.

POCO: Hey look at the stupid girl with the book!

JONESES: Let's punch her!

POCO: And punch her Book!

In EXTREME SLOW MOTION, POCO, JONESES, FRITZ, and THE HUN each go up to LISA and punch her in the face, then punch her in her book. The book falls to the ground, still in EXTREME SLOW MOTION. The parallel to rape should be UNMISTAKEABLE.

The slow motion ends as LISA picks up her book, then tries to punch Poco in the face. He dodges, and they all laugh at her. Suddenly, BACK TO EXTREME SLOW MOTION. Again, each of the youths take turns punching Lisa in the face and then punching her in her book. Again, is should be VERY obvious that this is RAPE WITHOUT THE RAPE. This scene should read "RAPE-ESQUE."

EXTREME SLOW MOTION CONTINUES on book falling to the ground again. This time we see the title-- "MY VAGINA--THE BOOK." This title should really bring home the fact that the punching going on is SYMBOLIC RAPING.

Linger on title, then END SLOW MOTION. Lisa cries as the boxers wander away down an alley, laughing. If done correctly, should be 25 to 30 minutes into the movie by now.

LISA: (Crying): That was awful. So awful. It felt like....

She trails off into silence.

Black. Smash Cut to VERONICA'S BOXING GYM. Music: GHOSTBUSTER'S THEME SONG. Except now every time it says "ghostbusters" the words are PUNCHFIGHTERS. And now in the song slimer rapes Harold Ramis.

LISA ENTERS THE GYM.
